Mossman Raintrees Far North Queensland: This Photograph was taken at Mossman Raintrees Far North Queensland, Mossman using available light. It was a slightly overcast day. On the 17/1/2016 at around 11:00 using a Canon 5DSR

An avenue comprising of about eleven mature rain trees grows either side of Loxton Avenue (the Cook Highway) from its intersection with Mossman Street, Mossman, Far North Queensland. They are covered in a fur of orchids.  Photographed from the below angle with the sky backdrop gives an interesting edge. 

These trees are very old and majestic and could be photographed in many different lighting conditions.

Using one of my favourite lenses, the Canon EF16 – 35mm f2.8.

The focus was on the background using an f stop of 8 kept the picture quits sharp overall.

I have printed this image at 1.2 meters with great clarity.
